DVD (Defence Vehicle Dynamics) is the UK’s premier biennial land warfare and defense equipment event. Jointly sponsored by Army Headquarters and the National Armaments Director Group, this vital two-day exhibition takes place at the UTAC Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire. Unlike conventional static trade shows, DVD leverages Millbrook’s extensive off-road tracks to host live, rigorous mobility demonstrations of armored combat vehicles and logistics equipment. It serves as an essential, face-to-face forum for Ministry of Defence personnel, procurement teams, and global industry suppliers—ranging from defense primes to tech start-ups—to collaborate on next-generation battlefield systems, sensors, and military software.
UTAC Millbrook is a comprehensive vehicle test and development facility located in Bedfordshire, UK. It serves as the venue for DVD2026 because its extensive proving grounds, off-road tracks, and specialized testing laboratories provide an ideal, real-world environment for demonstrating military vehicles and land equipment under operational rigours.
DVD2026 is a specialized, industry-focused event aimed at professionals within the defense and land equipment sectors. Eligible attendees typically include MoD stakeholders, Army Headquarters staff, equipment delivery teams, and defense industry partners ranging from established Prime contractors to innovative suppliers and engineers.
The overarching theme for DVD2026 is “Connected for Combat – Aligning people, systems and decisions.” The core focus is on how the defense sector can integrate highly resilient technologies (such as advanced sensors, software, and autonomous systems) into a cohesive digital framework to ensure the UK’s Land Enterprise remains lethal and agile in modern warfare.
Small and medium-sized businesses can participate through the newly introduced SME Zone this year, specifically designed to remove barriers to entry for UK-based start-ups and growing businesses (under 250 employees). Organizations can offer accessible pod spaces, presentation opportunities, and direct networking access to MoD decision-makers and the National Armaments Director Group.
