Chief Executive Officer
Xavier Orr is the CEO and co-founder of Advanced Navigation, a robotics and navigation AI-based technology company. Xavier earned his mechatronic engineering and computer science degrees from the University of Western Australia where he completed his thesis on the application of neural network AI to inertial navigation. During this time, Xavier was head of research and development at Cyber Technology, a company specialising in autonomous systems.
Following the completion of his thesis, Xavier commercialised his research on AI-based inertial navigation systems, co-founding Advanced Navigation with business partner Chris Shaw. Since 2012, the company has experienced great success and has progressed into several deep technology fields, including underwater acoustics, GNSS antennas and receivers, radio frequency systems, inertial sensors, robotics, and quantum-enhanced inertial navigation.
Head of Marketing
“At Advanced Navigation, we work on some of the most innovative projects in the world. It’s exciting to see autonomous cars or flying taxis and think that we helped make those a reality. Our clients are defining tomorrow’s world in sea, land, air, and space, and we’re very proud to be part of it.”
Daniel is passionate about navigation technologies that yield autonomy. Our products have invigorated Daniel’s passion for inertial navigation sensors. Daniel has spent his career working with user navigation data and says, “I am looking forward to finding out how I can help my clients accomplish their goals with Advanced Navigation products.
These products not only have flexibility in the realm of possible applications, but an incredible amount of flexibility for users to interface with and tune to function with exacting performance in their applications”. We are excited to have Daniel as part of our EMEA team and proud to have him managing our clients in Northern Europe!
