What is the definition of visual line of sight (VLOS)?

Stands for visual line of sight. VLOS refers to UAV/drone operation where the vehicle must remain physically seen by operators. Generally, UAVs have been allowed to be used under VLOS only for safety reasons, however, BVLOS is an extension of use over VLOS.
