What is the definition of MEMS?
Stands for micro-electromechanical systems. A manufacturing technology capable of being used to build extremely tiny devices (down to micrometres in size) that are a combination of electrical and mechanical elements made from various materials (such as silicon, polymers, metal) and are designed to provide a specific function. micro-electromechanical systems technology is used in applications requiring very small form factors and, because mass manufacturing MEMS devices is common, are relatively low cost.
