What is the definition of C/A code?

The “coarse acquisition” or “civilian access” code. The C/A code is a string of bits of a specific length that is encoded into GNSS satellite signals and repeated at specific intervals. Typically, GNSS receivers use the C/A code to determine the range (distance) to the satellite.
