Advanced Navigation, a global leader in assured positioning navigation and timing (APNT) technologies, has finalized an AUD $8.7 million deal with Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA). Under the deal, Advanced Navigation will supply HDA with 138 Boreas D70 units, a strategic-grade digital fibre-optic gyroscope (DFOG) inertial navigation system (INS), as part of the LAND 400 Phase 3 program.

Australia, September 11 2024 – Advanced Navigation, a world leader in assured positioning navigation and timing (APNT) technologies, with Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA), global leaders in spacecraft engines, aircraft components and defense solutions, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-develop strategic-grade APNT solutions.

United States, August 2024 – Advanced Navigation, a world leader in Assured Position, Navigation and Timing (APNT) and autonomous systems, has expanded its defense arm in the U.S. through the appointment of Wayne Prender as Global Head of Defense.

With low-cost GPS jamming and spoofing technologies becoming widely available, relying solely on GPS for navigation has become an increasingly risky option for armored combat vehicles. Despite the dangers, many defense fleets around the world remain ill-equipped to navigate effectively through contested environments where GPS is compromised.
