Advanced Navigation will be among the first Australian companies to reach the #Moon. With support from Australian Space Agency, Advanced Navigation’s patented Light Detection, Altimetry and Velocimetry #LiDAV technology will be demonstrated onboard Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C lander during the final descent en route to the Moon. This will form a part of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s ongoing Commercial Lunar Payload Services #CLPS program. Speaking with Nine, Advanced Navigation’s Head of Photonics Dr Lyle Roberts PhD and Head of the Australian Space Agency Enrico Palermo shine a light on the significance of returning to the Moon after a decade - with next-generation technologies paving the way for discovering unexplored places, such as lunar craters and lava tubes. Thank you Nine and Mark Santomartino for sharing our story. Watch the full segment below
Sweet interview Lyle! You've inspired me to grow a killer moustache (...and keep working on laser tech for the Moon)!
🌕🚀Wow👏🏼Congrats Advanced Navigation team! So amazing!
What an awesome technological advancement in navigational guidance and you will be manufacturing it. What a great company.
Not part of the the Australian Research and Space Exploration group is it?🤣🤣🤣

9moAustralia could be an even stronger player in the Space industry if both the Federal and Queensland Governments got behind and support the Pacific Joint Space Facility that is planned for Rockhampton. If Australia had a Heavy launch Rocket Facility like the PJSF, we would be having major Space Missions like India is now doing. In 2024, India will be the 4th Nation to conduct a crewed Space flight. If both the Federal and Queensland Governments got behind and support the Pacific Joint Space Facility- maybe Australia could become the 5th Nation to conduct a Crewed Space Flight ?.
