Frequently Asked Question

What packets are required for Kinematica
Last Updated 7 months ago

In order to use our Kinematica post-processing service, the following packets and rates should be output in the log file:

Packet ID # Period (ms) Rate (Hz)
20 5 200
28 5 200
29 50* 20*
51 (if using an odometer) 50 20**
60 50* 20*

* If using a Spatial device the maximum required period / rate is 100 ms / 10 Hz, and you require hardware revision 6.1 or later.

** Set to 10 Hz if using our OBDII Odometer.

You will likely have to increase your Primary Port baud rate up to 1 Mbps for this amount of data.

Please start a new log file after making any configuration changes.

If using a Spatial device, you require hardware revision 6.1 or later.

Once you have your log file with these packets (in ANPP format), you can upload it to Kinematica for post-processing:

Also, please note that you should wait at least 24 hours before processing your data. Part of the post-processing involves obtaining the data for the satellite positions and clocks. More accurate data becomes available over time - the highest accuracy data takes 2-3 weeks to come through from the IGS.
